1What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, tablet, or smartphone) when you visit our website or use our platform. They allow us to recognise your device on subsequent visits, remember your preferences, and understand how you interact with CallNex.

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies we use, why we use them, and how you can control them. For information on how we process personal data collected via cookies, see our Privacy Policy.

2Types of Cookies We Use

We use the following categories of cookies:

  • Strictly necessary cookies: essential for the platform to function. These include session authentication tokens, CSRF protection cookies, and load-balancer affinity cookies. These cannot be disabled.
  • Functional cookies: remember your preferences such as language, timezone, and dashboard layout. Disabling these may affect your experience.
  • Analytics cookies: help us understand how users navigate and use CallNex so we can improve the platform. Data is aggregated and anonymised.
  • Preference cookies: store settings you have configured such as theme, notification preferences, and campaign defaults.

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. We do not allow third-party advertising networks to place cookies on our platform.

3Specific Cookies Used

The following cookies are set by the CallNex platform:

  • callnex_session — Strictly necessary — Stores your authenticated session. Expires when you close the browser or after 24 hours of inactivity.
  • callnex_csrf — Strictly necessary — Cross-Site Request Forgery protection token. Session-based.
  • callnex_locale — Functional — Stores your preferred language (EN/NL/FR). Expires after 1 year.

  • _analytics_id — Analytics — Anonymous user identifier for aggregated platform analytics. Expires after 13 months.

4Third-Party Cookies

The following third-party services may set cookies when you interact with certain features of CallNex:

  • Stripe — When you visit the billing or payment section, Stripe may set cookies for fraud prevention and payment processing. These are governed by Stripe's own cookie policy.

We do not embed third-party social media widgets or advertising scripts that set third-party tracking cookies.

5Legal Basis

Under Belgian law implementing the ePrivacy Directive (Wet betreffende de elektronische communicatie) and the GDPR:

  • Strictly necessary cookies: no consent is required — these are essential for service delivery
  • Functional, analytics, and preference cookies: we rely on your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), which you provide via our cookie consent banner when you first visit the platform

You may withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings link in the footer or in your account settings.

6How to Manage Cookies

You have several options to manage cookies:

  • Cookie consent manager: use the cookie settings accessible from the footer to update your consent preferences at any time
  • Browser settings: most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. See your browser's help pages for instructions (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge)
  • Opt-out of analytics: you can disable analytics cookies via the cookie consent manager without affecting core platform functionality

Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from logging in and using the CallNex platform.

7Cookie Retention Periods

Cookies are retained for the following periods:

  • Session cookies: deleted when you close your browser
  • Authentication cookies: expire after 24 hours of inactivity
  • Preference cookies: expire after 12 months
  • Analytics cookies: expire after 13 months (in line with EU guidance on analytics cookie duration)
